@travellingbee: it really is SO WEIRD. i've gotten weird symptoms this pregnancy, but this hand thing hasn't happened this time around. my hands are SORE in the morning, but not all clenched up like this....

the other weird thing for me this time & last - is that my jaw is totally misaligned and cracks every time I open my mouth. Can't bite down most days depending on how it lines up from when i sleep. It's SO. BIZARRE. but again, after i delivered last time it went away, so hopeful it does the same this time.

@travellingbee: this is my original old post and I don't really have a problem with it anymore unless I'm really dehydrated. It also, oddly, wasn't a problem at all with my 2nd pregnancy!

@hellobeeboston: Good to know! I was reading about trigger finger (in general, not specifically related to pregnancy) and they said it was progressive and would lead to immobility and pain in the finger. That you usually need surgery and I was like, greaaaaaat.......... Glad to hear it went away after delivery. I always get all the weird random symptoms of pregnancy.

@travellingbee: during my first pregnancy my whole hand used to get stuck clenched when I woke up. I would have to rub it until it went away.... It was towards the end of my pregnancy. So annoying! Went away as soon as I delivered.

Bumping this very old thread to see if anyone else has had this issue. Never during my first pregnancy but this time, my right pinky gets stuck open when I wake up in the morning. It is all stiff and pops when I try to force it closed. It is achey but not totally painful. I hope it is just pregnancy related because I heard it can progress to the point of needing surgery...

Awesome, another great side effect.

No, i didn't shoot anyone. (Yet.)

I had episodes of trigger finger (where your fingers get "stuck" folded down and you have to pry them open) twice today. Dr google says it happens more often during pregnancy. Greaaaat...

Anyone else?
