Trump's lawyers objected (for no reason). I am an attorney and breaks during deposition are frequent and normal. It was only after they objected that she said she needed to pump milk and showed them her breast pump. BUT, if you actually read the article it seems as though she was planning/trying to actually pump in the room during the deposition. That's not appropriate or professional in my opinion. It sucks but I have definitely had to miss scheduled pumping sessions because of conflicting meetings at work and I would certainly never just pump during the meeting as a solution! It sounds like a break was cancelled and she should have pushed for it to happen as scheduled, but I don't agree with pulling out the pump during the deposition as a viable work around.
