Thats great news!!! LO is 8 months and still no napping in her crib, but we also co-sleep at night so I don't really expect her to do well in her crib during the day :)

Update: She's been napping up there for just over two hours without even a peep. I don't want to get too excited though as our last attempt at napping in the nursery started out really positively and then quickly turned into a total sh*t show!

@sslm: Well, I've been noticing her showing sleep cues around 8:15/8:20 every night, so I thought it was time. The first night went pretty well..we just started our whole bedtime routine earlier and put her down as usual. Last night didn't go so well for us either... I went to bed, but DH said she woke up a few times before he finally got her down. OMG....sleep stresses me out SO much!

@hergreenapples: how did you do it? Last night we put her to bed at 8:30 and were so pleased! Then she woke up at 8:45. I tried again and she went back to sleep at 9:15, woke again at 9:45 at which point she was overtired and we couldn't get her to sleep until 11 :S

@sslm: am I allowed to thread jack my own thread?! Just wanted to say I've thought of you the last two nights, as we've moved DD's bedtime back to 8:30. Now she's gone from waking at 5:30 to waking at 3:30. Hmph. Not sure whether that's a negative or a positive, because when she woke up at 5:30 I'd just get up for the day, but obviously I'm not going to get up for the day at 3:30, so I go back to sleep until she wakes up again at 7:30, which actually seems better in some ways...? I don't know.

I posted a few weeks ago about how pumped I was that DD was napping in her nursery (she'd always napped in her swing in the living room up to that point) That basically lasted like, two naps and then turned into a massive debacle that scared me from trying it ever again. Until today.

Slightly different approach...before we were trying to get her to nap in a MamaRoo, which, it seems, she hates. So this time we moved her swing up to the nursery.

Please God, let this work! I need to be able to move around the house while she's sleeping without constant fear of waking her. And it would be really nice if I could eat while she sleeps...and flush the toilet...you know....those sorts of essential things.

Please send your good nursery nap thoughts my way!
