@Mrs Tartan: I'm so glad to hear from another rider! And a pregnant one at that! Good luck with the boobs :) and hopefully you'll have someone who can ride your horse for you so he's nice and quiet when you get back on ;) no spooking and falling, please! DH is really nervous about the spook/fall possibility should we get pregnant so I've had to promise no unnecessary risk-taking, although any horse can have a bad day... Let us know when you try to get back on and how it goes! Enjoy!!

@Gigi2: @MrsMcD: I'm also a rider, I planned to keep it up until I had a big bump, and possibly carry on even then. My boobs are so painful I think a trot would kill me, I haven't been able to get on my horse since about 7 weeks pregnant. I hope to get back on him at 13 weeks when I hear they should calm down!

@mrsmcd - I like your plan of keeping it up until belly is too big! I plan to cut out the jumping and ride only our sleepy, old retired horse :) need horses in my life though, and can't wait for my imaginary first LO to be big enough for a pony!

I think about these two things a lot:
Sleep on my schedule
Room for spontaneous outings--no need for babysitters, scheduling around naps

I try to appreciate those things all the time.

I'm so sorry - this is so tough. I wrote an entire blog post/list of things to make myself feel better around the 12 month TTC mark. Some of them were:
- spending a whole Saturday in bed
- watching an entire movie without having to pee
- drinking
- ordering whatever I want at a sushi place
- sleeping on my stomach

@Gigi2: I wish I could ride as much as I wanted. I think I would keep it up until I felt I couldn't, which I suppose is once my belly get big. Hopefully I will have a couple of months before that happens. What do you plan to do?

Need this thread, thank you!

@mrsmcd I ride too!! That's definitely my silver lining for no bfp too. Riding as much as I can while I can... Do you plan to stop entirely during pregnancy? (I think I will...)

I ride horses. Riding is only something I have picked back up recently so when AF comes, I am actually a tiny bit relieved that I can ride for a few more months.

I also sleep in and be as leisurely as I want when I can. (Which is a whole lot more often than if I had a kid.)

More time with my son to focus on and enjoy
More time to save money and rebuild savings
I can be wild and carefree with my body
Sushi
Eggs Benedict
Smoked salmon
Lattes
Wine or champagne
Covering grays
More energy
Vigorous dancing and exercise
Throwing my son in the air and letting him jump on my stomach which he finds hilarious but yeah it hurts a little bit

I hope we are all pregnant soon so we don't have to keep reaching for silver linings.

Just to come at it from another angle. We ttc for 8 months and currently 11 weeks pregnant. Here are things I miss about not being pregnant that you can all still enjoy while you can!

A good nights sleep - a mixture of exhaustion, pregnany insomnia and needing to pee constantly ruins this.
Passionate sex without worrying about knocking the baby out!
Not feeling that constant tired/sickness almost like a 24/7 hangover.
Not having to worry about what you eat - I miss pâté on toast so badly it makes me want to cry.
Not being an emotional/raging/hormonal wreck who cries/shouts/laughs at ridiculous things.
Wine.
Nights out with the girls drinking.
Breaks away with DH.
Having other things to talk about with the people that know, I think they have already forgotten I am a person and not just a baby carrying robot.
Not having sore boobs.
Not having to try and hide puking at work, or trying to come up with an excuse why I hung up the phone on customers and ran away to the bathroom.

It will happen for you girls, but in the meantime, enjoy DH, eating what you want, drinking and having good nights of sex and sleep! I can't wait for the first trimester to be over :)

Eat sushi, rare meat, soft serve and different types of cheese.
Take vacations.
I get to sleep in.
Don't have to worry about paying for $500 or more in monthly child care costs.

I'm not a big drinker so drinking alcholic drinks isnt' big on my list. I will like a good mojito, pina colada or a glass of moscato wine. But that's like one glass a month.

It's so hard to deal with the disappointment of AF when TTC. I am trying to come up with positives of not being pregnant to help myself feel better.

More time with DH before baby comes.
No morning sickness.
I can drink alcohol and use my acne medication.
I don't have to find time for doctor's appointments.
Not having to worry about work and maternity leave.

What are yours? How do you deal with the disappointment?
