@kjpugs: my doctor kept suggestion I try to go without Zofran on weekends to see how I would do without it--and I did try that a few times, but I finally figured out that if I was still kind of miserable ON zofran, then I was going to be twice as miserable off it. And finally I just waited until I felt semi-normal on Zofran, and slowly cut down the dosage until I felt semi-normal off it. I didn't feel *totally* normal until around 22 weeks.

Not to be a debbie downer, but there are other girls in my birth month (July!) that have been on Zofran their entire pregnancies. Even though the zofran constipation is horrible--and it is really, really horrible---being really sick is worse to me, so I say...stay on it as long as you need it.

@kjpugs: I understand! I had a couple days of it in the first trimester, and I remember thinking 'this is totally not fair, I can't drink and yet I feel like I have the worst hangover in the universe?!' So sorry you've had to deal with that for so long!

I'm 17+3 and still on b12 and unisom. I tried to wean and threw up so I put myself back on it.

@Bookworm: I've been lucky that (despite wanting to at times) I haven't puked! However I feel insanely hungover without the zofran. Worse than just nausea... I can't describe it! It's so weird. Zofran really helps but it makes me so constipated. It's crazy!

I managed to escape it until last week, at 35w!! I can't imagine having to deal with it for 23+ weeks...sending you all the good juju I can, lady!! I took zofran for the first time yesterday + today, and it gave me a wicked headache. I'll take the headache over the constant puking though :p

@kjpugs: Yes. I was told by many people that the nausea disappears as soon as you deliver, and I'm happy to report that this is 100% true. I totally know what you're going through. Hang in there!

@skibobrown: that's what I've been setting myself up for! usually I can survive wean day 1, but by 10am wean day 2 I'm dead to the world. I'll be happy with every other day though so at least this is improvement!

Did you feel normal after you delivered? I am at the point where I wonder if I'll ever feel like myself again!

Hate to break it to you, but I was on Zofran for my entire pregnancy. I got to the point in the second half of my pregnancy where I usually only needed to take one every 2 days for it to keep me from getting sick. I constantly tried to wean myself off, but I was never able to.

...at 23+ weeks!

About once a week I've tried to quit zofran (mine is ondansetron or something like that) and this is the first time I made it to day 2. Yes, I'm just lucky like that.

I've been told the whole unisom/vitamin thing (I have it written down somewhere) but the zofran isn't that expensive ($10 for 3 weeks) so I have just kept trying to see when I won't be able to. I don't feel fabulous today but not really nauseous. Andddddddd... (TMI!!!!!!!!) I had a REAL POOP for the first time in who knows how long. I really wish I had weighed myself after because I feel like that's throwing off my weight hahahaha. Darn side effects!

Send me your juju!!! Hoping this might be it!! Anyone else stuck with nausea past 1st tri?
