I've been reading HelloBee for a while, but am new to the forums.</p> <p>A (not so) brief history of my TTC efforts: I stopped using NuvaRing (after 5 years) in September 2013, and started a pretty regular 28-30 day cycle right away. Mr. Baltimore and I pulled the backup goalie in January of this year, and I pretty promptly stopped menstruating. I've been temping and tracking my CM all year with no discernible pattern, though I have gotten the odd positive OPK. In June, I saw my GYN who referred me for blood work and an ultrasound. When those came back clear (though she did say one hormone was elevated that might mean my ovaries are ripening too many follicles and then never actually releasing any of them), my GYN gave me Prometrium to induce my first period in almost six months.</p> <p>July and August brought super long (three weeks on-and-off), heavy periods, but now my cycle seems to be settling down. Right now I am taking pre-natal vitamins and Pregnitude (advised by my midwife back in the summer), and waiting for my period to start any time now.</p> <p>I am about to schedule an appointment for my annual in January, and I expect that will be when we start to talk about semen analysis and Clomid (both of which were mentioned as next steps if we got to the 1-year mark). In some ways, since I've never been able to tell if/when I am ovulating, I feel like we haven't really been *trying* trying, so moving forward with interventions feels fast. On the other hand, if I'm still not ovulating, we're never going to get anywhere without medical help, so I'm trying to gather as much information as I can before I go back in to the midwife to figure out what I'm comfortable with.</p> <p>I can see already that you all are full of information, so I look forward to finding my way around a bit more and picking your brains! </p>
