I agree with @avivoca. Taking Charge of your Fertility is a great book and really helps you with charting your cycles.

@Mamaof2: I'm glad to know I'm not alone! I have been bummed that I didn't fall back into my normal pattern and that the doctor says everything looks normal

@tiramisu: I FF from the beginning, so my cycles really have zero excuse for this behavior :P

@runnerd: Are you breastfeeding your LO? I've heard that can make cycles do wonky things.
We're thinking of TTC #2 soon too, but so far I've gotten one post partum period about a month ago and I don't feel another one coming soon. It is frustrating not knowing when it's coming. I'm also trying to wean my daughter, so hopefully that regulates things..

@runnerd: mine cycles were just like yours 25 days then 50 days then 30 days then 65 days - drove me bonkers!!! Cycle 8 and 9 were finally both around 32 days and so I imagined it was leveling out. Maybe give it a few more months?

side note - My 10th cycle though went to CD 65 and I assumed it was another long cycle but a friend convinced me to test and it was a BFP!

I had irregular cycles postpartum, so just used OPKs every day. I got a big stock from Amazon.

I've had irregular and long cycles since starting my period the first time and one thing that really helped me was charting and temping. I really learned a lot about my body and it helped me to realized that I wasn't weird and that I didn't need pills to jump start my cycle as a previous doctor had told me. I like Taking Charge of Your Fertility.

We would like to start TTC #2 later this year, but cycles have been crazy since pregnancy. Pre-pregnancy they were long at about 35-37 days, but consistent. Cycles since I got my period back have been 37, 45, 90, 29, and currently 36 days with no end yet.

I have no idea how to prepare for TTC #2. I saw my doctor about the crazy cycles and ran a bunch of blood tests - everything was normal. Any tips for prepping my body? I can't imagine doing OPKs for 90 days :/
