I have read, and was told, that following a D&C you are more fertile for 6 months. Something about cleaning you out, in a way. I don't know if this is actually true or not.

Not in my experience, sorry :( But I know for some it can seem so. After the first, it took me a year to get pg. again. After the 2'nd, it was 4 months, but I used simulating drugs. I haven't been pregnant since the 3rd, and that was 9 months ago. I'm about to start stims again.

Best of luck dear, I know it really sucks :(

Sorry for your lost but I'm not sure if it's true or a myth but I think I read somewhere that it was a myth, but I have heard and known so many ladies including my self to get pregnant after a mc. I had a mc in late march/ early April last year and wind up pregnant the following cycle which was 6 weeks later and now my son is 5 1/2 months so I wish you luck and hope you are successful very soon :goodluck:

I'm so sorry for your loss. After my mc I wanted to get pregnant right away, I think I felt it would take away the pain. I was fortunate to get pregnant on the third cycle after.

@drea101: I had to wait two months after mine, but I was really far along and had to deliver. It took us 6 months after that to get pregnant again.

I remember reading this, too, but I am not sure how factual it is. I got a :bfp: in April (which ended in CP,) followed by an anovulatory or late O in May and a :bfp: in June. I am now 8 weeks. Not sure if it was just coincidence.

My dr said your body can release extra eggs. I stopped ovulating after my first one, though.

I had a weird cycle that seemed anovulatory right after my miscarriage, then had a pretty normal for me one, then got pregnant with my son. So I felt like I was kinda off at first but it didn't take a long time after. I'm very sorry for your loss but I think you are right. It took a little while for me to feel completely confident in my next pregnancy but over time that really took away all the pain and sadness. Plus if I had had a child three months earlier, my son wouldn't be here and now I have him in my life forever. That makes it easy to be at peace but I don't forget the pain so I feel for you.

Thanks for your input ladies! I guess it can just be one of those things that happens. Some do and some don't. ugh... I wish it would just happen for us. We'll be great mothers at some point, if you aren't already. Good luck to each and every one of us :goodluck:

@Anya: Congrats of your pregnancy!! happy for you

@drea101: I'm so sorry for your loss.

I did read that some women are more prepped to be pregnant following a loss, but nothing with hard facts or studies, just anecdotal. I got pregnant with my son 3 months after I miscarried.

@drea101: I had heard this as well, & hoped this would be the case, but having just finished 2 cycles post mc without a BFP, I feel like whatever "advantage" I might have had if that even is remotely true, is likely lost by now. Just hoping to not waste too much more time & certainly not experience another loss once we do get our BFP. Wishing you the best of luck in healing physically, mentally & emotionally, and getting your BFP as soon as you can. :goodluck:

I got pregnant again right after my loss but I don't think I believe I was *more* fertile because of it. I think you have just as good a chance now as any cycle, though. Good luck!

So... after my miscarriage I have felt so many feelings!! Sadness, disappointment, anger, anxiety, fear...

Although I will never forget my first little bean I feel like the only thing that will help me feel better is to try again soon.
I have heard that a woman is very fertile right after a miscarriage or pregnancy? Do you think this is true? I have come across many who think this is true and Ive also noticed others who feel this could be a myth. I would like to think its true. I will stay hopeful. What are your thoughts? Just curious...
