@MamaCate: Thanks for the inspiration! Also congrats on your healthy babe but also for losing the weight before you got pregnant. My logical brain knows to put down the food and get back to the gym, but I just feel totally unmotivated and discouraged. I'm hoping that when school is back in session next month I can re establish some healthier eating habits as well as incorporating some exercise into my week.

Thank you for your kind wishes!

@Autumnmama79: welcome and hugs! I had a loss at 12 weeks and had already started showing. It was awful to still look pregnant and not be pregnant so I understand how you feel! I coped by eating lots of chocolate and found myself up 20 lbs 6 months later (and still not pregnant). I finally got sick of feeling icky and having my clothes not fit so I started tracking my food intake on my fitness pal and committed to working out 4 times a week. I was able to lose all the weight in 4 months and then got pregnant a year after our loss. I just had the baby and I am so thankful I didn't start my pregnancy with the extra weight as I know I can lose it again. For me it ended up feeling like making healthy changes was something I could control in the midst of the maddening Ttc process. Something to think about--good luck and I hope your rainbow baby is around the corner for you!

Welcome! I had 2 losses last year, one at 23 weeks. I didn't lose weight after my son was born, and was feeling pretty bad about myself. Now I'm 25 weeks pregnant, and feeling very heavy/large, plus being angry at my body (still) for going into early labor and now I'm on bed rest with this one. Just be kind to yourself. Hugs!

@Autumnmama79: Welcome to HB! So sorry about your losses. I had two losses before my son and definitely gained weight. I lost some after my second pregnancy and then gained all back and then some when I got pregnant with my son. Be patient with yourself-- I hope your "rainbow baby" is right around the corner :goodluck:

Hi, I'm new here! I didn't really know what to title this post but its been going round and round my mind and I wonder if any other mamas or hopeful mamas are experiencing this.

Quick backstory: We've been ttc#2 for 9 months, and have had two crushing first trimester miscarriages in that time (Dec 2014 & March 2015). Following the two losses, I became increasingly sad and had zero motivation to workout again. The pounds have piled on in these past months, about 20 to be exact, and its doing a real number on my self-esteem. Add to this that I am 35 and really noticing the lower metabolism/harder to shed weight problems that seem to pop up for some women around this age.

Maybe this is just a pity post, but it just feels like the weight gain is insult to injury following the miscarriages. Especially the little chub belly I've got going on and family members looking for signs of another pregnancy... :bummed:

Anyone else?
