I had my mirena taken out in the beginning of December, OB told us to wait one cycle before TTC. Started TTC in January and got pregnant that cycle.

I got mine taken out then went on the Pill for one cycle so I would get my period out of the way the week before my wedding. I got pregnant on the honeymoon - so first cycle off BC, but technically second cycle off Mirena, since I was on the Pill for that one month.

I had mine out in July, took 5 weeks to get AF, and went right to textbook cycles after that. We didn't try/have good timing every month, but just found out I'm preggo this weekend.

I had mine in for a little over 4.5 years. My first post-Mirena period, I had three days of spotting followed by three days of regular period bleeding (I'd never experienced spotting with any pre-Mirena periods). I then had three totally normal cycles and got pregnant on the fourth.

I had Mirena pre and post LO. No issues pre-LO but I had that one in 6 years and I think the hormone was gone. I had the second one removed only a year after insertion and before I weaned. My periods were definitely wonky then but I can't necessarily pin it on Mirena. I had 10 days of horrible all day & night nausea my first or second cycle after removal. I think I took six pregnancy tests that cycle. It took a few cycles to get rid of the wonkiness and pregnant after 6 months or so.

I had my Mirena taken out in mid-November. My cycle in December was normal (29 days). We started trying in January (my doctor told me to wait six weeks to try). We got pregnant the first month trying and I'm due in October. So for me everything went right back to normal pretty quickly.

I had two Mirenas over 10 years, no periods. When I got it out, I had regular spotting type bleeding every 28 days for 3 months, for two days. Then I had a real period andd got pregnant that cycle.

@Ajsmommy: @jhd: @yoursilverlining: Thanks, that makes me hopeful!

@MrsF: I had one stretch about 6 months after I got it where I spotted off and on for like 6 weeks, but pretty much nothing since, until about a week and a half before removal, when I had some breakthrough bleeding which may or may not have been a period, but that's the only clue I have, lol!

I had mine removed, had one regular cycle and got my :bfp: the next cycle

I did have regular periods with Mirena though. Not what I was hoping for, but at least it made the timing for TTC a little easier to figure out post-removal.

I got my period a couple of weeks after my Mirena was removed (had it in for about 3 years), and my cycle immediately returned to normal and was like clockwork. I got pregnant the first time we didn't use protection near ovulation post-Mirena removal.

I had mine removed and my cycles were regular right away. We got a BFP our second cycle ttc. We weren't able to try the first cycle after it was removed due to unrelated circumstances so BFP was just three months after I had it removed.

Eta I had Mirena for three years before TTC
