I ended up miscarrying that pregnancy and although I absolutely do not think my drinking had anything to do with it, I elected not to drink this time around as an emotional preference....it just felt right for me to do. I did get drunk on my O date though! My current pregnancy was a drunken vacation conception. </p> <p>I think if it is going to bother you, I would wait it out or not drink after implantation. With my first I had more than a few drinks the night before my bfp -- like 2 wines and 2 beers at a Red Sox game. TTC took 8 months with my first and moderation got old. This pregnancy I got drunkity drunk the Saturday before my bfp (a Wednesday). We are so excited to drink ALL OF THE DELICIOUS GERMAN BEER! We kind of planned this as our last big hurrah before trying to get pregnant with #2. </p> <p>Now that we're getting closer, though, it turns out the timing for this pregnancy would actually be much, much better for us if we got pregnant next month, instead of waiting until after we get back. (Side note: I know that it is pretty much the opposite of a sure thing that we'll get knocked up in the first cycle trying, but I'm trying to figure out if it would at least be worth a shot!)</p> <p>So according to my chart I should ovulate right around the first day of our trip..</p> <p>If it were you, would you go ahead and give it a try and not worry about drinking copious (vacation) amounts of delicious beer during what are possibly the first two weeks of pregnancy, or would you definitely wait until getting back to start trying? </p> <p>(Reason to try right away is that a mid-summer baby would be so much better for us, as my MIL is a teacher and would be a huge help for a month with my toddler and the new babe before going back to school.)</p> <p>Thanks in advance for your thoughts! </p>
