@Shantuck: hi. My cycles have just been off since trying to conceive during these last two cycles.
The first, I was a week late, thought I was KU. The 2nd time around AF arrived a week early and I thought it implantation spotting but it was a very painful 3- 4 day AF. Now in TTC cycle 3 and hoping things don't go weird again!

I can relate to the fertility issues after having baby #1. We got pregnant the first month of trying with LO #1 and it took me 5 months to get pregnant again only to miscarry at 7 weeks (I'm now in the cycle after miscarriage). I have felt that my hormone levels were off so I went in for some testing and I did have some levels that were a bit off. I'm hoping that the miscarriage will be a bit of a re-set button for me but who knows.

I had long since quite breastfeeding before trying to conceive #2 but I agree with the others. I think breastfeeding can cause elevated levels of prolactin, which can make trying to conceive difficult. Have you had normal cycles since your first was born and then just suddenly started having strange cycles? Or have the cycles been off since the first was born?

Breastfeeding could definitely cause the strange cycles.

It might help, but it's not impossible to get pregnant while BF. How are you confirming ovulation? I thought I had a mini AF, but it wasn't. That's the cycle I got pregnant with LO2, who is due in 3 weeks.

Has anyone experienced fertility challenges after having baby #1?

I've always had regular 28-29 day cycles, always! Last month went a week late and now this month AF arrived a week early, Cycle day 22!!!
I was approx 7 or 8 dpo and thought maybe implantation but the cramps are very painful, sharp & constant with medium bleeding and this is going on day 2. I normally only have AF cramps right before it starts and then they'll go away. This is so not normal for me!!! What could this be?!

Should I be concerned about this? This AF almost feels like what my PP bleeding felt like it honestly doesn't feel like a normal AF.
So confused!!!! Any advice?
I am still bf-ing my 2 yr. old, could that effect fertility?!
