@owlteach: I'm the exact same way. I've gained 10lbs since May. My losses combined with my frustration have me eating my feelings.

I'm in the TWW right now and if I am not pregnant, we will be taking January off so I can shift the focus onto me and lead a healthier lifestyle.

This is one of the reasons I am still seeing my weight loss Consultant weekly. I lost 50 pounds this year and am very worrried about turning to old habits for comfort. I'm actively trying to turn to acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, 30 minute massages, mineral bubble baths at home and strolls outside instead. Or a bit of fertility yoga and meditation. These will help for TTC down the road anyways, unlike chic fil a. Stupid delicious waffle fries.

One of my best friends is moving in with us for awhile, so I'm hoping that she can help me get out of my lazy funk. We're headed to hang out with my super fit brother and sil for christmas, no one in my family knows about how long we've been ttc...and generally, I'm not excited about Christmas. I normally love Christmas, so that just depressed me even more, lol.

I gained about 10 lbs trying for LO#1. I blamed it on taking fertility drugs (and that does make it hard with things like more bloating and water retention) but probably emotional eating was to blame in truth.
I still haven't lost that 10 lbs so I am trying hard not to gain more while trying for LO #2!

I gained weight each time because of getting off the pill. Both times I gained about 10 pounds before getting pregnant. I waited about 3 months before TTC.

Yes, I have gained about 10 pounds. It is harder to run (my main form of exercise) in the winter, and I have been eating lots of junk. It helps console when you've been ttc for a while.

I'm with you, but mainly eating things I wouldn't be able to while pregnant.

I'm trying to get myself into healthier habits now thinking it will be better for my eventual baby, and trying to change my thinking has helped.

Then, there's the whole....well I may not be able to have this soon if I do get knocked up, so I might as well now. Latte's, wine, cocktails and then the booze leads to more poor food choices...it's a vicious cycle!

I have found that while TTC, I'm not emotionally eating as much as thinking, "eh, well hopefully soon I'll be allowed to gain weight anyways so who cares if I start a little early by eating this brownie" I'm sure it's also the impact of the holiday season, but I have also been feeling gross lately. I have thankfully always been pretty good about separating my emotions from my eating. I also find that exercise definitely helps me stay positive in general.

I have tried yoga in the past, and I think I may just be to ADD for it. I have started going for regular massage, because it really helps de-stress and I feel like it is a "treat" that isn't bad for me! I'm working the next couple of weeks on limiting junk and eating a healthy breakfast and lunch every day during the week. Then, I'm going to try to work on adding exercise back in. In the past, workouts have been HUGE for me maintaining a healthy weight and mindset, but between the stress and working way too much...I just haven't been able to find the energy!

I haven't gained weight since ttc, but I'm already a little heavier than I should be and I have had those feelings for sure. I'm definitely an emotional eater and the ups and downs of ttc do not help! Recently I started doing yoga mainly as a way to de-stress. I have found that it is really helping me be more forgiving with my body, both for the excess pounds and for the lack of pregnancy. I was nervous to try it at first, but it has been worth it. Maybe that's something you could look into?

Anyone else gain weight while trying for awhile? At first, I was all gung-ho to get healthier for a baby, but as the time has dragged on I have gained 10+ pounds. DH works nights, so I am home alone at night. When I'm upset, stressed, tired, etc. I just eat whatever I want. Kind of like: "well, since I can't have a baby I will have a bowl of ice cream, etc." I know I should stop, and it sounds so simple, but it feels so impossible right now :(

So, not only am I depressed about the lack of a pregnancy, but I am upset about how crappy I look and feel.

Someone please tell me I'm not alone!
