Oh hell no. If you already had one I guess I could maybe--maaaaaybe see putting it in after, but really, I'm thinking everything that needs to be "in there," already is. And "deposit into the cup?!" No.

@lady grey: there was zero mess putting it in after dtd. I would think that trying to put a filled one in would have the potential to be very messy though.

Huh? Deposit into the cup? I think the people that use it for ttc place the cup after dtd.

@Mrs. D: give it a try!
@Lilbear: was it pretty messy to insert after dtd? I wonder how hard it would be to insert if dh deposits into it first. I've never used one of these cups

We did with LO#1. Not sure if it made a difference, but I would put it in after we dtd and keep it in for just over an hour. We got pregnant on the fourth cycle trying.

With LO#2 I didn't bother with using the soft cups. We got pregnant on the first cycle trying (miscarriage) and again on the next cycle (which was our first cycle trying post miscarriage). Currently 5 months pregnant!

That's an interesting idea....

Considering the next time my husband will be home does not exactly match up with when I'm fertile. My next window begins the day he leaves for another week away. If he did the deed at 4 in the morning while I was still sleeping, and then gave it to me to wear around all day.... Makes it sound so clinical. Maybe after several months of trying, but we only just started. I'd be intersted in hearing someone elses results with this though!

@lady grey: personally, I never have but I hear about someone on the TTC board who would DTD and then insert the cup. No idea if it worked for her or not.

Have you ever used a diva cup or instead cup to help with ttc? I would love to hear what you think of it. Did you have DH "deposit" into the cup and then insert it? Or just did and then put the cup in?
