I was browsing through older threads to see if I could find anything on TTC while breastfeeding so I thought I'd stop and say hi! :)</p> <p>I have a DD, who is just a few days shy of turning 8 months. DH and I are both very anxious to get pregnant again. I say we are actively trying, however, I haven't had a cycle back yet, so I feel like there's not much that's in my hands. I know you can get pregnant before having your first period, I just don't know if there's any point in temping and doing OPK's and such. </p> <p>I'm very surprised that I haven't had a period as DD hasn't fed at night since she was about a month old. Right now she's only Bf'ing 3 times a day ( around 8am, 2pm, and 7pm.) He now only nurses from bedtime until morning but sometimes that can mean as many as 5 sessions and he still loves to suckle at night. He is doing great during the day though. It took some time and some tears but we are getting there. I am hoping i will see a vast improvement in my cycle next month. we shall see.</p> <p>Has nursing changed your cycle at all?: Since i began AF at 2 mos PP I have had a short Luteal phase and i have been Oing between day 17 and 22. Last week my LP was 8 days instead of 6 so it does seem to be improving a bit. </p> <p>Using any supplements?: I started a B6 in January and it helped me O at CD18 but I had a short LP so i quit it for Feb. Feb I Oed on CD20 and started the B6 with Vitex at 3DPO and got an 8 day LP. This month i plan to use vitex and 100mg of B6 from O on.</p> <p>Plans to cut back or wean fully at some point?: I hope to get my son down to one or two sessions a day. Preferably one before bed and one in the morning. I want to see if my cycles regulate but if they dont by June or July I will probably start to think about trying to fully wean again. It's so darling. I will also miss the magic boob cure and the feeling that i know he is getting a good pure source of nutrition. </p>
