GreenThumb,

The HSG hurt, but it was over quickly. I didn't have much pain after at all just a few light cramps. It was the procedure itself that hurt, but I have a potential blockage which can make it worse and the had to switch catheters (thing that injects the dye) mid-procedure.

I had a follow-up with the RE yesterday. We will be doing Clomid and Injectibles next cycle. I will be monitored and we will do IUI if I get a follicle on the good side, if not we will do timed intercourse. I have a 10% to 15% chance of success with IUI. Next step would be IVF. My husband is opposed to IVF. It's not a money issue, as we have excellent insurance.

@kayakgirl73: I wanted to check in to see how things are going. My Dr. recommended that I have an HSG, too. Not looking forward to that!

I'l keep my fingers crossed for you! We actually have our first appointment with my OB/GYN on the 13th, too. It's been 7 cycles (we're on our 8th) and we're on the older side (34 and 37), so we decided to start getting things checked out.

I had my HSG on Monday. It was quite painful and they said something about dye spilling out of the Uterus due to the way it was tipped so they had to switch catheters. It then go very painful and they couldn't get any dye into my left tube. My right tube was okay. They said it could have been a spasm. My nurse later called with the results and said that the report indicates an occluded tube. Does this mean I need a laporscope or a repeat HSG.
