@Baby Boy Mom:

Thanks for answering. I got scared when I read somewhere online that it could take several weeks to get out of your system. x.x I will try dairy first, once I get these groceries out of the house that are dairy heavy. :/

Eliminated dairy and saw a difference within a couple of days! That was the biggest one but I ended up eliminating a few other things to get to "perfect" (soy, chocolate and almonds). I would definitely try it.

It took about a week to see a lot of change. We eliminated dairy and milk and it made a ton of difference in him. He is still intolerant to soy at 3 years old.

@PixieStix: I hope it helps! There are also probiotic drops that some people have seen vast improvements with. We started using them when LO was 11 months and transitioning to table food because he was having some gas and constipation problems then, but I think the probiotics can also ease gas and digestive issues in the early days too. I've seen several threads about probiotics, you could do a search and see if that's something worth trying too.

Good luck, I know it's hard to see your baby in pain :(

@Applesandbananas: I've tried gripe water, Mommy's Bliss (sp?) a couple times. I'm not really sure if it's working. I'll look in to the mylicon drops though. Thanks. :)

I don't have any experience with eliminations but I was just curious if you'd tried gripe water or mylicon drops? My LO has always been really gassy and the mylicon drops have been priceless.

My son obviously has gas issues. He'll wake up from sleep fussing and I'll catch the tummy rumblings or sound of him passing gas while he cries. I also think he has acid reflux, as he makes the gurgling sound. Last night he had a particularly bad night where he didn't fall sound asleep until 3 and 1/2 hours after we laid down (not typical for him at ALL). He kept dozing off and waking up fussy.

I mentioned it to my pediatrician who said I can try eliminating possible trigger foods from my diet one by one, starting with dairy.

If you tried eliminating things from your LO's diet, how long did it take to see a noticeable difference once you found his/her trigger food? Did you have to use a combo of diet elimination and medicine, or was the diet elimination process successful without use of medications?
