No screens. Sometimes we watch a show while we eat dinner, but she sits in her bouncy facing us, and we talk to her throughout. At 6 months we plan to stop doing that. He never sits and watches the whole time, he glances over once in a while and continues to play with his toys. Our LO, nine months old, probably thinks that all the TV does is have channel information and occasionally some small people running around on a green background. Total time, in increments during the day is around an hour, and is usually when I'm trying to make dinner. </p> <p>He doesn't really pay attention to it. Sometimes he'll watch for a minute or two, smack the screen and then walk off. Now I keep it off when she's awake except for an hour or so of the morning news program, but I don't even do that every day. The news I watch is also a PBS style news so it is not super stimulating for her to watch. She will occasionally look up at it but she's not that interested and I'm hoping to keep it that way for a while; she's 13 months now.</p> <p>I will say though, when LO #2 comes along in Feb, when LO is 19 months old, all bets are off and I have a feeling she will get the occasional break in front of the Telly whilst I tend to the newborn. He didn't seem to care about it. Now he's 10 months and I do let him watch a little tv. I know it's not for him, it's for me to get a break, but I don't think 10 minutes every once in a while is going to damage him permanently. He is 8 months - It turns him in to a zombie to even have it on in the background - all he does is try to see it.
