I imagine that it would only matter if you are regularly traveling with only one of the babies and don't have flexibility over where to click him/her in.

If you will mostly be traveling with both, then I don't think it's that hard to click the relevant seat into the relevant base.

@LaughLines: the new one is super heavy and it’s hard to install because the straps on the base are different. My sister and I had babies at the same time and I have the old one and she has the new one and we were always commenting on how terrible it was. That couple with the fact that no one will ever keep using it until 35lb. It was just so frustrating to use

@Colee: both types Britax's will fit in my stroller without an adapter, but they have different bases for the car. I have a van so I just don't want to have to be going to the other side of the car to get the right seat into the right side of the car

Though, I did baby carry a ton with my daughter, I would take her out of her car seat and into the carrier instead of carrying the car seat inside. I can do that with one twin and bring the other in the seat...

It's so hard to predict how things will be!

And I would’ve bought the two lightest car seats on the market!

I was in the same situation and ended up with two different car seats. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it was kind of a pain. It wasn’t just an issue with getting the car seats in the right bases in the car, it was also the stroller. One seat needed a different adapter than the other one. I used my stroller daily and didn’t want one baby always in the back or front of the stroller, so I was always moving the adapters around. Like I said, not the end of the word but just another thing to deal with while your dealing with two babies. Life can be chaotic with twins and there are so many factors that are out of my control. But I’ve found that anything I can make simple and straight forward is very much worth it! If I could go back, I would have just bought two new car seats.

I have 10 week old twins and I don’t think it will be a pain at all. Our seats are the same but they usually go in the same spots in the car when we load them. You could put different cover colors on each and just remember that the blue cover needs to go in the middle or wherever that base is.

I’m pretty sure I had the B-safe for my son and it was SO heavy. Crazy heavy. In addition to the logistical issue I’d probably want two of the lightest seats out there since you’ll be carrying them at the same time. Not what you asked but just thinking ahead!

I would just do a colored dot on base and the handle of each one so you know which is which. So green for one and red for the other

I'm having twins in June. I have an almost three year old. The infant car seat I had with my 3 year old is no longer available for sale (britax b safe). Their new version (Britax b safe 35) uses a different base. How annoying is it going to be that they don't match? Should I buy two new ones instead of one? I can't tell if it's going to be a constant pain trying to get there right twin into the proper spot in the car that matches their seat or if it's not that big of a deal. I kind of want to stick to the same brand so they both fit in my double stroller

Any advice?
