My boys just turned 1 and they still share a room. They sleep totally fine together so we're planning on them sharing a room until they tell us they want otherwise. I'm anticipating this to happen around late elementary years or even middle school , but who knows!

My twins nap in separate rooms, but sleep at night in the same room. One naps better than the other so I want to make sure they don't wake each other up. So far we've been able to keep them in the same room at night. They are 14 months.

My sister and I shared a room until we were around 7. I knew the other room was mine, but we had 2 twin beds in her room so I just slept there. Around 7 I decided that I wanted to really have my own room, so I made the switch.

I can't even imagine them in separate rooms yet (almost 1 year old!). I think it would probably be awhile before I separate them though. Are you looking to do it soon?

We split them somewhere around 6-7 months. They have very different sleeping personalities, and so we all slept better in separate rooms. We keep thinking about putting them back together (18 mo), but then we get sick, or one has some bad nights, and we don't.

We did start naps separately even earlier, maybe 3 months? For basically the same reasons.

My kids are 21 months and still share room. We will probably split the when we buy a house, hopefully within 6 months.

I have identical boys so they will most likely always share a room but if I had b/get twins I'd probably have them share till it became an issue. I shared with my older brother till he was 7 and I was 4 and we moved to a larger home. During the summer we lived at our lake house and all of us kids (my two brothers and myself) have always shared one room.

Our B/G twins are 13 months. I can't imagine having them in separate rooms at this point...it feels like we would be cutting some invisible cord.
And yet, I know it has to happen.
We're currently thinking that we'll wait until they start transitioning to toddler beds. Maybe try doing naps in separate rooms first?
It will feel...just...WRONG to have them apart, but I know it will happen eventually.
Any tips?
