A recliner with flat-ish arm rests is the way to go, I think. I have both a recliner and glider and used both a lot with twins...though tandem nursing is the gold standard, it never worked for us so I had one at a time.

Not a twin momma here, but DH and I got a chair and a half from target and we both fit comfortably in it, so you would surely be able to nurse twins at the same time.

I really like it but there are two things: we are tall and I have to use a pillow if I want to rest my head back because the back isn't tall enough. Because of the height, it is easier to rock if there is an ottoman to push off of.

My sister has twins and they have an oversized glider and the matching ottoman. There is definitely enough room to feed both babies and the ottoman was additional seating when they have a second adult helping rock babies. It's this chair - http://babys1stfurniture.com/products.php?idprod=4698&idcat=142

I have two large recliners in our twin nursery. I agonized over two chairs vs one oversized, but then we realized we had two recliners in the basement that my ILs had passed down years ago when they got new furniture. So they are ugly (they're teal! 😳) but very comfy. My twins are 17 months and I still tandem nurse them daily in the recliner. I like that they are two separate chairs though because that way DH has his own place to sit during bedtime routine when he's rocking or reading to one baby. The key for me has been having a chair with oversized, stuffed arms which support their bodies when nursing (they are way too big for the tandem nursing pillow now). I cannot tandem nurse well in a typical glider or rocking chair because their bodies fall out the sides. That sounds funny, but the way we tandem nurse now is one laying across my body and the other in a football hold so they're legs curled around my side. Since they're so big now, if they can't be contained by the chair, their legs just sort of flail in the air with the glider.

Hoping there are some twin mamas here to help me out. What type of glider/rocker/seat did you have for your twin nursery? I want something big enough that if I can manage to nurseboth at once there is enough room. I was thinking of a rocking chair and a half. Please let me know what you did for your nurseries!
