@milkteaandpolkadots - congrats to you too! so exciting! i am also very nervous about trying to take care of 2 babies at the same time. the good thing is i don't know what it's like to have just 1, so hopefully, it won't be as bad.

Congrats! I'm 27 weeks with fraternal twin girls – also from ivf! I'm getting nervous about breastfeeding/pumping and taking care of 2 babies in general. My doctor has already told me to take things easy (no cleaning/vacuuming and get lots of rest.)

@tequiero21 Congratulations on the twins! That is wonderful. Try and get as much rest as you can and when you are ready, one of those maternity belts. I have heard they are really helpful.

What type of twins do you have? Twin pregnancies are inherently more risky, but plenty of people have no complications.

@jos1e267 - oooh nice! i absolutely love identical twins! especially if they look exactly alike! i always thought identical shared the same sac - learn something new everyday!

Tequiero21, yay to 14weeks for you! Mo/di mean monochoronic/diamniotic i.e. they share the same placenta but are each in their own sacs. So they can only be same sex and are identical :)

@jos1e267 - what are mo/di twins? congrats! you're getting close! yeah, i'll be so excited to finally reach 20 weeks. (i'm 14 weeks today). i feel like i've been pregnant forever and time is going by so slowly, but i know i'm supposed to appreciate this time before the twins bombard me with all their cries.

I'm 30 weeks along with mo/di twins. This is my 2nd pregnancy, DD is 28 months old. In general, I was tired all the time during my 1st trimester. Energy came back in the 2nd and is now winding down again. Pregnancy symptoms are accelerated! So you may feel the aches and heartburn etc sooner. Depending on your health/medical condition, you may be asked to take it easy or go on as per normal. If you are working, be prepared to go on bedrest at 28 weeks. Twins are known to arrive sooner so keep a close eye for pre-term labor and everyday is a milestone :). I'm very happy to have made it this far and hope to keep them growing inside for at least another 4 weeks. Ggod luck & take care!

@blushink - thanks, i definitely know i want to get some help from somewhere, whether it be my parents, my MIL or just hire someone.

@maisymay - that's what i want - our twins to have a really close relationship. i think i've watched too many tv shows where the twins always know when the other is in trouble or can read each other's minds or something. i've always wanted identical but i guess fraternal is good to so i can tell them apart. ;D

i think i'm really worried about breastfeeding, # of things i have to get to support 2 babies, etc. and i hope i don't have 2 extremely active babies. ack! my husband hopes they're both boys and we get them only 1 present for bdays and christmas and they could share. ugh@ my husband.

@tequiero21 - Hubs and I each have twin sisters. I am very much not close to my sister. She is incredibly immature and lives a life of poor decisions. She is very negative and lives to make my mom's life difficult. My husband's sister is better than my sister, but has a pretty messed up life. She's finally getting it all straightened out. We love our sisters, but find that sometimes distance is a good thing.

That being said, he and his sister were super close growing up. She was definitely his protector and biggest fan up through high school when they started doing their own things. I know some twins who have had an amazing relationship, and your probably will too!

Wow, congrats on the twins. I have no advice but maybe rest (which clearly you are doing) I think also you will need to accept outside help. Wanting to control everything once they arrive will be hard and draining. Accepting help will definitely make things a little easier.

yeah, pregnancy has made me extremely tired. i literally lay in bed about an hour after i wake up cuz i just enjoy being in bed. haha.

must have been so cool to have a twin. and for you AND the hubs to be twins, that's so awesome. do you guys have same sex twins or opposite sex twins? we're still too early to find out the sex of our babies.

Get a lot of rest now?
Sorry for being flippant, twins are one of the things that hubs and I talk about a lot since we're both twins, and when we TTC again, we're excited about the possibility (and a little scared too).
