LO is 2 and takes a long midday nap so as long as her nap was good, it's like she resets for the afternoon. So, we can pretty much do "two-a-days" with no problem. Kids that go to daycare all day long adjust to 8+ hours of stimulation and activity! She does swimming twice a week in the afternoons (4:40-5:10) and it's totally fine. Over the winter she wanted to do soccer and it ended up being on a Wednesday night. So I picked her up from school, we went right to soccer, and then picked up take out on the way home. She's 4 though, and she's doing much better without an afternoon nap now than she was last year. Will you have time in between the activities to come home and have some quiet downtime? As in, have them do one thing (in our case, preschool) in the morning, then another activity (i.e., dance/sport or music class) in the afternoon? How does it work out for you? Is your LO too tired to enjoy their afternoon activity?</p> <p>Backstory: I'd like to add another morning to my daughter's preschool schedule, and need to decide between a day when we have no activities, and a day when she already is doing something in the afternoon. I really think the day of down time is good for all of us (and it's nice to have a day that I know is always free for doctor appointments and errands), but I'm a little worried that she'll be exhausted! Would love to hear how this has worked out for others. </p>
