Pull up over the undies. Will your 11 month old be in a car seat? If so, I'd leave her if needed and ask your neighbor to entertain her for a minute. If not, wear her or ask the flight attendant to hang onto her for a second. Good luck!

I would do pull ups in this case, just in case. When I've taken DS to the airplane bathroom I kind of stand in the doorway while he does his business, or keep my foot in the door so it doesn't close all the way.

You could put the pull up on over her undies so if she has an accident it would be contained. I agree with others as well, ask for help if needed.

Ask for help! A lot of flight attendants love well behaved babies, and might be willing to help you out if you ask nicely. On several.flights ive seen them offer to help a parent who has multiple small kids. One of them could hold LO2 while you help LO1 in the bathroom. Its pretty safe, it's not likenthey can run off with your baby! Good luck!

We potted trained my twin 3 yr olds the 1st week of September last year (had to be potty trained for preschool ) and then flew from nj to ca the second week. I didn'twant to regress by using pull ups so I put plastic undies over their underwear just in case. Seeing as potty training was so new and apparently that tiny plane bathroom must have been fascinating they probably each went at least 6 times for a 5 hour flight. My husband is on the heavier side (250) and managed to fit himself and the two boys in the bathroom. He did have one boy sitting on the sink. I squeezed in with both as well but I'm petite. I also managed to fit in with one boy while wearing my 1 yr old daughter. I used by ergo. It can be done though it is tight. Good luck.

Oh gosh, even wearing DD2 I think it would be a tight fit, I would probably go the "special travel panties" route and say they are only for the airplane. I don't think they would set her back too much? And then you can adjust when you in the moment, but have those as a backup. Maybe you can make it work. But a backup would be nice.

@PinkElephant: Can you wear the 11 month old? I've flown a few times solo with my 19 month old and I have a notoriously small bladder. I've worn her while I peed in the tiny airplane bathrooms. Awkward, but you do what you have to do.

Or yeah, wear LO 1 and keep the door open to help LO 2?

That's tough!

I am thinking I would leave the door open while helping your older DD pee and just have your 11 month old stand/sit next to you??

How is the 11 month old with strangers? Would she let a flight attendant hold her?

Help! :)

I've done a ton of long-haul flights with just DD#1, and a few short ones with both girls while DD#1 was still in diapers. At Easter I'm going to have to do one leg of our trip alone with both girls (11 months & 2.75 yrs). The problem? DD#1 is fairly newly potty trained, and it's a small plane with what I'm assuming will be TINY bathrooms. I'm not even sure we could all fit in it together!

Has anyone flown alone with two little ones, one who is newly potty trained? Any tips? It SHOULD only be a two hour flight if we take off on time, so I'm hoping she won't even have to go, but want to be prepared and would hate for her to have an accident, particularly involving poop since it would be virtually impossible to clean up in the bathroom with the baby strapped to me.

We don't normally do pull ups when we go out, so she doesn't know what they are...I'm considering telling her they are "special undies" and using one in this circumstance, but would hate to set her back in her training.
