I called my RE and he said that getting on antibiotics sooner (rather than later) would be better. He said that if the infection spreads elsewhere (e.g., kidneys) it can be more problematic. </p> <p>I was prescribed Cephalexin (which is safe for pregnant women). I told the doctor there was a chance I could be pregnant (turned out I was) and he said it was safe. LO is almost 2 now. I couldn't ask the receptionist because she called me at my desk at work and I didn't want others to hear me asking the question... is it safe to take antibiotics if i'm TTCing? Obviously a healthy mom-to-be is best BUT if i'm in the TWW and it's possible I could already be pg is it safe for the baby to take antibiotics???</p> <p>i will obviously ask the pharmacist when i go in. i'm nervous! i need to get this bladder infection under control of course but i don't want to do anything that could put me at risk. would it be worth waiting the 2 weeks and getting a bfn or bfp before i start the course? </p>
