I originally added this to the worng post. Moving it over here, sorry for the double post.

AF is supposed to start today and I'm having standard cramping. I got a BFN this morning and now I'm just waiting. This is our 11th cycle and I had a really good feeling about this month. We have an appointment in 3 weeks with my doctor to start discussing our options and I was starting to let myself think that maybe we'd be able to change that to a pregnancy confirmation appointment.
I stopped charting in October and took a break from Hellobee because trying was consuming everything and I was too sad. This month was my first month charting again and I thought we did everything right. Now I just need AF to show if it's going to so that we can start again.

Baby dust to those of you who are still in!!

I POAS on March 27th. I don't have any tests in the house and am not planning on getting any before Monday night so that I can test early Tuesday morning. I've had nausea a few times, but it can be explained away, so I'm not sure. Temps keep going up though, and that's promising.

Oh! And telling my husband went nothing like expected. I took my test (knowing it'd be negative), remembered the shower drain was still plugged, and I had to teach my husband how to clean the drain (we both have long hair, but he sheds more). So "Honey, get in here." Taught him how to remove the stopper. He left after unclogging the drain, and I cleaned the bathtub. Turned to find a scrubber, noticed the positive. "Uh, honey, get in here again... You see that, right?" "Yeah, definitely. This is a... (I nod) Oh, cool." Continued scrubbing down the bathtub...

@GreenThumb: Thanks so much for all the information - it was really helpful! I saw a midwife for my yearly exam in January and she knows we'd been trying for almost a year at that time, but she was very laid back and sort of said she'd let my husband and I decide when it was time for more intervention.

I'm like you in the sense that I have clear ovulation signs (I was at CD13 and had a lot of EWCM when I had my pap in January) and when I'm temping, I always have a clear thermal shift. So I guess I'm lucky in that regard. Good luck with HSG and SA - I hope they reveal something that's easy to "fix!"

Looks like I'm out too - even after three positive tests, I got my period today - 2 days late. If we weren't trying, I probably would never have noticed. I suppose the good news is that we can get pregnant, but MAN! the roller coaster ride of emotions is a doozy.

@twodoghouse: Thanks! Sorry to hear that you might be out for this month, too.

In terms of the HSG, DH and I met with my regular GYN for a consult last week. He mentioned two approaches: 1. If knew that we never wanted to try things like IUI or IVF, we would continue to see him, have the HSG and just try drug interventions like Clomid, or 2. If we did want to think about those more rigorous interventions, I would have the HSG and then schedule an appt. with the RE to go over the results. Basically he left it up to us on how to proceed. I am going to ask about going on Clomid starting this cycle, have the HSG, see what DH's test results reveal, and then schedule my follow-up with the RE since we would at least consider those other interventions and I want to get all the info possible. In terms of DH's side of things, when we saw my GYN, he had his nurse put the order in for the SA at the RE's office (they are both under the same University Health group). We did't need to have an actual appt. with the RE for that and my GYN or the RE can review the results. Also, this was all recommended because I pretty much have regular cycles and have solid signs of ovulation (+OPKs, EWCM every month, tender breasts after ovulation) so he didn't need to start out with blood work to check on my ability to ovulate. I'm sure the recommendations would be different if that weren't the case.

It is tough to be patient (heck, we've only just finished cycle 8 ourselves), but both DH and I agree that if there is a problem, it is better for us to find out earlier and see if we can "fix" it, rather than continuing to try in vain. I'm going to be 34 next week (yikes) and DH is 37. Not over the hill, clearly, but we also planned on having more than one child and I know it will only get more difficult as time marches on! When I saw my GYN for my yearly back in Nov, he said to come back in 6 months if we didn't have any luck. I know that 12 months is the typical trial period, but I was happy he was suggesting a more proactive approach. And since you are past the 12 month mark, it seems like it is time to take a closer look. I think it is tougher for men because they don't want to think that they have anything wrong with them. But in fact, it is easier to "fix" the male issues than the female ones, so I'm secretly hoping it is DH and not me (that is if they can find a problem at all).

All the best to you! I'll update on the results of our testing soon.

@GreenThumb: Oh darn! I'm sorry to hear that. I think today will be CD1 for me too. Still waiting for AF to actually start but my temp keeps dropping and I feel like I'm going to start any minute.

Are you having a regular ob/gyn do your HSG and DH's SA or do you see an RE? I am wondering what our next steps should be. My husband says I just need to stay patient, but after 13 cycles I am DONE being patient! :)

Well unfortunately, I'm out. I guess my longer cycle this month was due to acupuncture (which really is a good thing overall), but it sure made this girl a little too hopeful this month. So, on to some fertility testing... I'm scheduling an HSG for myself and a SA for DH today. Bummer!

@GreenThumb: High temps sound good, even if no BFP! What kind of test are you using? Maybe the test isn't super highly sensitive? Hopefully you get an answer soon!

Even though I was going to wait a couple more days to test, my Wondfos came in the mail yesterday so of course I tested yesterday evening and this morning. Both BFNs. My temp went down a little this morning too and now I'm cramping so I think this month is another no-go. :(
