She slept there for about 3 weeks and I just moved her to the nursery this week bc she was about to outgrow it but she is tall for her age. She turned 3 months the day we moved her. I didn't buy sheets, but I put a small waterproof pad over the mattress then wrapped a receiving blanket around the mattress and made sure the whole thing was tucked in tight so it couldn't come loose. Baby slept swaddled in the bassinet or in a sleep sack when she was a bit bigger. We used it this way until about 4 months. They shrink horribly if you dry them, to the point where they are unusable. So don't dry them.
