When we switched her over to the infant insert, it was a whole new experience in the stroller. She was never really a fan of the bassinet except for during her early newborn days. We switched over at about 3 months.

I should add that we have a snap and go base that I use for quick errands with the car seat- I've never actually folded the ubv or put it in the car. I figured we would do our neighborhood walks in the bassinet but she has other plans. Sounds like the adapter is the way to go!

Transferring is rarely an issue since she doesn't fall asleep usually but it would be nice if that was the case :)

We used the toddler seat around ten weeks. It was still winter so we had a bundle me in there. No infant insert because it didn't really work with the bundle me. We had her inclined and she was totally fine without the insert. She had great head and neck strength at that point so I wasn't too worried.

We have the car seat adapter and love it. We use it mostly when we are out running errands and the bassinet for walks from our home. We don't have the infant insert and don't miss it!

Car seat adapter! You already have the car seat so it's one less thing to have around, and then you can move her in and out if she's asleep.

Definitely the car seat adapter. It was literally the greatest thing ever, since you could just pop the baby from the car to the stroller without picking them up or waking them. It's such a hassle moving them from the carseat to the stroller seat!

We got the UBV when she was 4.5 months. I bought a car seat adapter from another mom to decrease the cost. Not interrupting her sleep was huge for us (she doesn't transfer well), so that's why we went that route. She was fine in the toddler seat at around 5 months, set at the "almost flat" recline mostly. Their head control gets a lot better between months 4-5, so you aren't far from that, if you want to hold off on the insert.

I think its time to accept that C hates the bassinet on her uppababy vista stroller. I'm deciding whether to get the car seat adapter so I can use it with her car seat, or the infant insert for the toddler seat. I'm assuming using just the toddler seat right now wouldn't really work yet? She is 12 weeks, a little over 11 pounds. How long did you use the infant insert if you had it?
