My son is 3.5 also, and tall as well. He likes the rider-board because sometimes he still gets a little tired and needs a rest from walking. </p> <p>We have a parent console thing, and he just kind of ducks under it to get on; I think it actually helps prop him up if I’m going fast or hit a crack or something. Haha. We live in the city and I push my kids about 1 1/2 miles with it each way to school. It's great for my big guy who is also tall. Yes, it can be a little annoying with your stride when going downhill but I just step to the side a little. Otherwise, I love it and highly recommend it. I haven’t had any issues for him or for me pushing. He will be 4 by the time baby arrives. I sometimes see photos of kids awkwardly hunched under the handle bar and I've also read it tends to get in the way of the parent's stride.</p> <p>DS absolutely will not sit in a rumble seat so I'm wondering if it's worth bothering with the ride along board.</p> <p>TIA! </p>
