Anything will stink when the lid is open! Also, yay for using regular kitchen trash bags and for such a great color selection. I think it contains the smell well when the door is closed. I think it does do a good job of containing odors - huge difference when it's open and when it's closed! It's stainless steel so it doesn't retain odors as much as plastic. I broke our diaper genie last night and need to get something new. I love that the Ubbi can be used with regular trash bags. But some of the Amazon reviews state that it doesn't do a good job controlling odor. Does anyone have this? Do you like it? </p>
