Could you try a different swaddler? I had major problems one night with my 11 week old when he kept breaking out of the swaddle. He slept a lot better when I bought one that he couldn't break out of.

Awesome, thank you for the suggestions! I will try moving his bedtime up tonight! He does sleep with white noise. I have wondered about a growth spurt/wonder week too, probably isn't helping matters and I'll just have to wait it out! Thanks for the help and support!

Unfortunately, the 12 week/3 month sleep regression is a totally normal thing and I doubt it has little if anything to do with the shots. Nothing really made it better for us, but it was temporary and we just had to struggle through it. I do agree with a PP's suggestion about making bedtime earlier though...I know that seems counter-intuitive, but we did it around that age and it seemed to help. Also started letting him fuss for a few minutes before we went in for him, and he would sometimes self-soothe and go back to sleep on his own.

It sounds like a growth spurt.

Unfortunately, from my experience, sleep in the first year of life is an unorganized, baffling experience. Never get excited that your kid is sleeping through the night...enjoy it, but know it can and will change again and again and again. It's normal.

My DD progressively slept longer and longer nights until one day, around 4 month old, she decided not to sleep anymore, and didn't sleep more than 4 hours straight again until she was 14 months old.

I wish I had advice. I tried everything to improve the situation, but nothing worked more than a few days. Just know that it will pass, and it's 100% normal.

Totally understand if this is not what you want to do at all, but could you offer a bottle of BM for the last feed? That way you would know how much he is taking in, and could help extend the sleep?

12 weeks is a growth spurt and a lot of times there is a milestone around this time as well, such as rolling over. They sleep less at these times and often the stretches you got at first might disappear

baby sleep is so tricky. sounds like you're doing a lot to build good sleep habits. my only suggestions echo those given by others--try moving bedtime up to 8 or 7.30, and when he wakes up at night, give him about 10 minutes before you go in to see if he settles down on his own (unless he's truly hysterical or something else is wrong, like a poopy diaper or monster under the bed).

@Emsmems: Agree with PP on white noise. Also, could you move his bedtime up? At 12 weeks we moved her bedtime up from starting routine at 8 to starting routine at 7 and it helped a lot.

white noise? do you let him cluck for a few minutes before getting him during the night? (to make sure he is definitely awake). my LO is 8 weeks and sleeping like you describe. put him down at 3am and he was up at 4 and again at 5 and it's after 6 now and he still is not back in crib. he often wakes when he poops or passes gas! hard to keep up with my 4 year old during the day. i can imagine how hard going back to work would be. i hope things improve for you. wish i had the magic answer (for both of us)

DS is 12 weeks old. He was sleeping 4+ hours his first stretch at night and 3 hours after that. Ever since his shots, his sleep has sucked!! He'll sleep maybe 3 hours the first stretch and then is up every 1.5-2 hrs after. If he wakes at less than 2 hours I put the pacifier in and can usually get another hour out of him. 2 hours and I go ahead and nurse. How do I get him to sleep longer stretches again?? I'm going back to work in 2 days, I don't know how I'll work 12 hours after waking up so much at night!!

Fyi: we swaddle him with a halo swaddle sleep sack (which he usually gets one arm out of when he wakes up) and he sleeps in his crib in his own room. We have a pretty good bed time routine of bath, massage, nurse (usually to sleep) and when I put him down he will usually stir but go to sleep (although that has been less successful too), same with nursing in the MOTN (falls asleep but wakes/stirs when I put him down, having more problems of him going back to sleep sometime too). He usually takes multiple 30 min cat naps during the day (in the swing). Bed time routine starts about 830pm.

HELP!
