It's good that you let her go only 3 months in before she was more vested in your lives. It's harder later on, I think. Anyhow - I really hope you find some super duper awesome! It takes a little persistence sometimes but amazing nannies are out there. We've been unsure about her for a long time and have debated whether to look for a new person (based on safety, knowledge of health and hygiene, and language barrier), but I just got a text from her today saying that she can only work 2 days this week and 2 next week! She only gave me 2 days notice (and it's just for a birthday trip). That was the last straw...</p> <p>All in all I'm glad that she finally made the decision easy, but now I've got to scramble to find someone else! (I have family nearby in the meantime.)</p> <p>At least I know more clearly what we need to look for now... : ( </p>
