I saw the gestational sac and (I think) yolk sac. We did not see the heartbeat. The second ultrasound was at 6w4d and we saw the fetal pole and the heartbeat flickering. My follow up after that was at 6w5d and we saw two lovely heartbeats.</p> <p>For DS pregnancy 3 years ago, I want to say my first scan was 5w5d? They wouldn't even consider scheduling one before that.<br /> I would advise against it before 6 weeks for the same reason already mentioned. There's nothing to see and it will only add to anxiety (no HB then). My last one I had one at 5 weeks (just for placement purposes they said).
