I've always been told those recommendations are based on purely anecdotal evidence anyway. I actually find underwire bras the most comfy. I have a 6 month old and we're still nursing! I just can't wait to wear underwire again after she weans. I got some really nice underwire free ones from VS. I was told the wire can dig into developing milk ducts. I thought all my underwire bras fitted perfectly and it wasn't until I put on an underwire free one I realised they were digging. I Googled it but I can't find any reliable sources online, only message boards on which all the ladies are subscribing to this idea and are advising each other emphatically to steer clear of underwired bras. </p> <p>Surely if this was true my midwife would have mentioned it to me? Surely if it was true there would be some reliable sources online - like the NHS website - urging me to ditch the wire?? </p> <p>It's an old wives tale, right? Tell me it's a myth - please!!! </p>
