Only time I went in --it was to the ER, and they did ultrasound of most of my internal organs, blood tests, urine tests, NST, etc etc. It was insane. But my clinic doesn't really do unplanned visits and the ER always does "too much."

Agree with PP, when I have went in unexpectedly, they do an urnine analysis, weight, blood pressure, and at my office they always listen to the heartbeat just as a way to reassure us momma-to-be's. I have also had an ultra sound one time just to double check everything was okay.

When I went in unexpectedly I had some back pain and mild cramping. They did urinalysis in case the back pain was coming from a kidney infection but everything came back clear. They also took my temp (I was running a slight fever) and they weighed me. They were pretty sure that what I was feeling was just going to be a normal part of pregnancy for me, but decided to send me for an ultrasound anyway. Everything was fine with me and with baby and they told me to just rest and push lots of fluids in case the aches and fever were a sign of some sort of other infection, but everything cleared itself up within a couple of days. Since you're not experiencing any cramping or spotting I doubt they will do an u/s. Probably just urinalysis and discuss your symptoms with you.

ETA: I was too early to hear a heartbeat at that point. For you they probably will listen with the doppler.

They'll probably still weigh you and take your BP, will have you do a urine sample and *may* listen for baby's heartbeat.

So I'm going in this afternoon (13w1d) for an unexpected appt I scheduled because I've been having mild UTI symptoms (no pain thankfully).

When you've had to go in for unplanned visits, what is routinely done?

My usual monthly check up in next week at 14w1d, and I was supposed to have my second blood draw, heartbeat, and maybe an u/s done.

What can I expect for my check up this afternoon?
