@Pepper: my LO has something really similar! Flesh colored bumps all over upper torso, supper arms and under chin. It seems like it's getting a little worse, but format seem to bother him or itch, so I'm still just watching it.

Both my kids are rashy... I think it's related to seasonal allergies but none of our various doctors can really explain it. They scratch their necks and scalps throughout the spring so that's why I think it's a pollen reaction or something like that..

Yes! DH has terrible skin seasonally and DS must have inherited it. I have several pics of various unexplained rashes he has gotten!

My LO has eczema and she recently started getting these crazy rashes all over her torso. They don't seem to itch but they look bad. At her last appt the dermatologist said it looks like keratosis pilaris, but from what I've read, the rash doesn't seem consistent with that. This has been the worst year for poor LO's skin...and we moved from the dry southwest to the East Coast, so I expected it to get better, not worse!

ETA: @Mrs. Bee: Did your brother grow out of his rashes eventually?

Yes, LO had a moderate rash on his back. It started small, confused to his upper back, near his neck. We assumed it was detergent, but it was only in the one area. Then, it started spreading to his neck and mid back. Tons of little pimply dots!

At about day 5 I decided if it wasn't any better I'd take him to the pediatrician for a cream or something, but it slowly started going away.

C gets eczema too, it's so much worse when it's cold out. We went to Florida for a week and all of it disappeared (only to return when we got back home). I agree with @hilsy85:, the warm weather helps a lot with rashes!

LO had a horrible horrible rash on his face from Nov-Feb. We saw a dermatologist who told us it was perioral dermatitis and there was basically no treatment. She gave us two creams, one of which helped a bit. It looked awful :(

Thank goodness it cleared up, while we were vacationing in Mexico (I think the humid/warm/not frigid air helped). So obviously it's time for you guys to take a trip to somewhere warm and beachy! :) I hope the rash clears up soon!

Charlie woke up in the middle of the night last night because he had a rash all over his neck, back, stomach and chest. We attributed it to a new shirt he wore. My mom washed it, but maybe he was allergic to her detergent.

Then this evening he had a rash on his ankles and feet, so the shirt theory was out.

My brother had tons of unexplained rashes all throughout his childhood. He eventually outgrew them. I hope this isn't what Charlie has! He has eczema from time to time (as do I), but this is the worst rash he's ever had. He hasn't eaten anything new either.

Does your LO ever get unexplained rashes?
