My top choice girl name was something that friends started to make fun of before we even knew the sex, so I kind of nixed it because I couldn't imagine someone close making fun of my baby. My baby girl's name is 243 on the list, but if we were going to have a boy we would have used #9. Our daughter's name is not common but not unusual, and that's what we were going for- basically, a name you've heard of, but have never met anyone who actually has it.</p> <p>Now that we're getting ready to think of names for the new baby, I'm looking for the same thing for a girl, but when I think of boy names, I seem to like more traditional ones, which are more popular- and I'm ok with that! Anyone else seem to have different naming standards for boys and girls? </p>
