My OB told me to take it with B12 for nausea. Apparently it's the same as the active ingredients in Diclegis.

I've been taking it a lot this pregnancy for insomnia. Honestly, I didn't ask or tell my doctor. I did research on it myself and feel pretty comfortable with it. At my 20 week scan, everything was looking good and healthy.

I also took Ambien a couple times with my first and had no problems.

My OB recommended it both pregnancies for insomnia. My husband is also a doc and looked it up and said it was fine to take.

My dr also recommended it. Then I was placed on diclegis which is made of it, too. And diclegis is a class a med. I sleep great on it and I feel good most of the time, too. I recently stopped taking it at night, thinking at 12 weeks i was good.../nope!

I did a fair amount of research on it and am comfortable with it. It was pulled in the 70s, but the concerns about its safety were unfounded. It's been used in other countries for 30-40 years without issue and studies on pregnant women have not found any increased risk when used in any trimester. My OB said it was totally fine to use.

My obgyn said it was fine to take so I trusted her and didn't do much research outside of that and hellobee. I also think it is one of the recommended solutions by the american pregnancy association (again, my obgyn told me that and I took it at face value).

I took it through almost my entire pregnancy and it was a huge help. It is one of the few class A options since to be class A they need to do research on pregnant women. I think in the 80s there were suspicions of an issue and they did a ton of research and found it to be completely safe. It doesn't work for everyone but it is often the first medicine suggested because of the large amount of evidence saying it's safe.

I hope you feel better soon!

I started taking unison for early pregnancy symptoms without doing research or asking my doctor. What are the safety concerns? Anybody decide not to take it for safety concerns? It's really working on my nausea so I don't want stop but I'm feeling guilty for not looking into it.
