@aprk: Ohh yes. About a week and a half ago I cried every single day after work. DH would come home and I'd just start bawling! It sucked :( This week is better, god knows I expect another hormone fueled cry-fest anytime! Fun stuff, right? :p

This happened to me a bunch of times when I was pregnant. It sucks, but I think it's pretty normal. Crappy pregnancy sleep makes everything so much harder- when you're waking up all the time, can't get comfortable, etc.... I have to say, even though I probably got less total sleep in the first few weeks after having LO, I was so grateful that the quality of my sleep was so much better than pregnancy... no nausea, no reflux, no waking up to pee every 20 minutes...
I think the best thing you can have to deal with this is a supportive partner... I did a lot better if I could just wake DH up and let him comfort me and get me a snack or watch TV for 30 minutes or something, than if I tried to let him sleep and just got resentful and even more upset!

@Mrs. Blue: exactly! I try and proclaim through the tears that I have no idea why it's happening and my husband just looks so confused.

@Adira: these hormones are no joke.

@sorrycharlie: I am eagerly anticipating the post partum experience. I've got a ways to go though, so just trying to figure out how to get some rest!

Friday night, DH and I were being silly and I was laughing so hard--as in almost crying I was laughing so hard. Then, out of nowhere I just started sobbing uncontrollably. The whole time I was crying, I was saying, "I don't even know why I'm crying. I don't know what's going on!" It was soo weird.

Ahh, hormones, you strike again.

I've had a couple nights where I woke up in the middle of the night and just started sobbing! One was over a stupid dream and once I was awake, I KNEW there was nothing to be upset about, but I couldn't stop the water-works. The other time was apparently over nothing, but I couldn't stop crying! I tried not to wake up Hubs, but this last time, he woke up and started snuggling me, which definitely helped.

Anyway, my point is, it's not just you! Pregnancy hormones are making us all crazy!

:( I'm sorry, hang in there! I had tr same issues toward the end. It will get better! I remember waking up sobbing in my sleep, with no idea why! The first couple weeks postpartum were weepy for me as well (but more emotional over love for LO), but with the addition of sleep! I slept better once she was born than I ever did during pregnancy!

@Smurfette: yuck! Hope you can find some rest and comfort today. The not sleeping is a vicious cycle because it starts to make me crazy during the day. Good luck to us both.

@aprk: I just cried to DH. I have a cold, or something, been through 4 boxes of tissues in the past week. I can't sleep, been up since 445 and now I have this sinus pressure on the left side of my mouth. I just hurt all over. I called in sick to work, which I never do. I just want to feel normal and sleep. I don't know how much more of this not sleeping at night I can take.

Hugs!!!! Glad that your husband was able to be up with you and give you some comfort.

Thanks. It really freaked me out, especially coming off of a four-day bout of insomnia and anxiety/panic. I finally slept for an hour, but of course, trying to figure out what I can do tomorrow night to be able to relax and SLEEP.

Aw I'm so sorry, good on you for waking DH up though so he could support you through it. I got very emotional towards the end of my pregnancy for the smallest of reasons. Hope you feel better soon.

Woke my husband up to sit with me for 2+ hours as I proceeded to have the biggest, most painful sounding sobfest of my life in the middle of the night.

Anybody else experience crying fits, seemingly unrelated to anything?
