@caffeinated: I'm actually looking forward to sampling some of the recipes! I have never been tempted by mass produced baby food, but homemade seems like it would be really nice - especially the fruit blends.

@mrsjazz: She liked it a lot, the first day she ate almost 1 oz and wouldnt eat anymore. So the next day I only heated up 1 cube ( 1 oz) but she eat it all really fast and seemed to want more. so today I will try two cubes and see if she can finish that.

@caffeinated: Yep this was her first veggie, her first taste of solid food. Yeah once I get past 'introducing" her to different foods, I will start trying different combos. The mumi & bubi site has some recipes too

@meredithNYC: i recently did a sweet potato-carrot-beets-pea puree, and even my husband said it was yummy! i think cookbooks are good b/c sometimes you just need ideas. :)

This is good to know! We are going to start with some purees probably in the next 2-3 weeks, so it's great hearing what works and what doesn't.

One of my friends gave me the "Weelicious" cook book and I have been looking through that. I hadn't heard of the website previously, so I have been checking out some of the online "recipes", as well. It's kind of silly to need a cook book for purees, of course, but I do find some of the food combinations she suggests pretty interesting.

@Mrsbells: How did she like them? How much did she eat? :)

Good to know. I may pick some up the next time I go to the Farmer's market.

I just wanted to come back and update on my previous post http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/home-made-baby-food-green-beans
I had no problems with the green beans at all. I was expecting it to be really chunky, lumpy and stringy but it was fine. I didnt even need to use the strainer. I added 5 oz of breast milk to about 4 cups of green beans and blended it until it was smooth and creamy. it did have a a very fine gritty-ness to it if you looked very hard, but overall it was very smooth and my baby did great with it!
