I think if you pulled the handle to its tallest position you might be able to recline?? maybe?? I'll have to try it out. But it's easy enough to take it off if you need to, it's just velcro. To use the piggyback board we have to take it off, so I just pull it off and throw it in the basket. When we're using the piggyback board I just put drinks in the cupholder in the basket. It has a nice cupholder and I keep my phone and keys in the slots so they're not buried in the diaper bag...I also like that the cupholder stretches to fit different size cups/drinks. We have the Sunshine Kids organizer and that one is much, much bigger. The Uppa one is flat and doesn't hold much, and only one cupholder.
