@PrincessBaby: It seems like it depends how long you think H will be in the stroller. We plan to have an almost 3 year age gap, so by then, I'm assuming my LO will only want to be in the stroller for short periods of time anyway, so I think the rumble seat should be fine, but if they were going to be really close in age, I would more seriously consider the new one. Also C hated the bassinet, so not being able to use it isn't a big deal to me, but if you used the bassinet a lot, you wouldn't be able to use it with the rumble seat, only the infant car seat.

@oliviaoblivia: I'm not pregnant, but my plan is pretty much the same as yours when the time comes. I hope that works out for you!

We used the rumble seat for a few months with two similarly aged toddlers and it was tough getting them both comfortable. Eventually we got a true side by side double.
When DD2 arrives I think I'll use the UBV for #1 and wear #2. By the time the weather gets better I don't see #1 tolerating the stroller much longer. I figure at that point we'll get the buggy board and #2 will go in the seat. The rumble seat is quick enough and small enough that I'll keep it in the basket in case #1 wants to sit.

I think the new UBV has a full sized seat for the second seat whereas the rumble seat is pretty small, can't recline and the sun cover is pretty mediocre. The rumble seat is definitely best for short trips or for a kid who just wants to sit for a few minutes. I am not sure if you can use the bassinet with the rumble seat either. Everyone I know with the vista wound up getting another double stroller at some point.

On the other hand, if your older kid mostly walks or if you baby wear a lot it will likely serve you just fine.

It seems like the new version is very similar to the City select which might make your decision easier if you're familiar with that stroller.

To me, the double looks like more of a real double? You can do two carseats, a toddler seat and a bassinet, toddler seat and a carseat, etc. Its like the city select. Versus the rumble seat which is kind of just a seat--doesn't recline, and you can't put anything else there. I guess it depends whether you think you'll need a true double.

I have the UBV and recently was looking at the rumbleseat. (We were pregnant, had a m/c). Honestly, the rumbleseat was barely going to hold my 20 month old NOW, let alone in a few months. He's 3' tall and 30 pounds, so he would be approaching the weight limit, I believe.

I would think that since they're now calling it a Toddler seat (and it reclines and can be used both ways) that it would have a higher weight limit maybe?

The main reason I wanted the UBV was the conversion to double with the rumble seat. Now they're obviously coming out with a double, but it doesn't look all that different to me than the UBV with the rumble seat.

If you used the rumble seat, were you happy with it and your stroller choice overall?

I guess I'm wondering about selling my UBV on craigslist and getting a true double, but I was surprised the double looks just like the rumble seat setup to me.
