When we were looking for our stroller, we wanted an inline because we're planning on LOs somewhat close in age. The peeps at BBB told me that if we were planning on one, UBV is the way to go, but for two, the city select was better. We love it with one and I have talked to moms I see out with it with two (one with three with the ride on board) and they love it! I've seen it in every configuration.

We didn't look at the britax bc it didn't work with our car seat.

I love our ubv! We also have the piggyback and rumble seat, which will work great for us bc DDs will be 3yrs apart and we won't need a double all the time. But if we didn't already own it I wouldn't get it to be our main double stroller. As PPs have said it's not a true double.

@oliviaoblivia: I plan to just use the ride board with the cameleon. I hope DD will be into it! I don't want to have to get the donkey... okay I will if I have to :) I wish you could add another seat but to answer your question- no. You have to get the donkey.

@oliviaoblivia: I think the 2nd seat is fine as an occasional thing, from what I've seen/heard from other moms, but I don't think it's a true double, where the 2nd seat has all the same capabilities as the first. I think it just depends how old your kids are, when you'll be using the stroller, etc. For me, I hope that LO1 will be old enough to use the buggy board, and if we need the 2nd seat, it'll only be occasionally.

Also, the bugaboo cam does not have a 2nd seat--you can use a buggy board with it though.

@Greentea: can you double a cameleon? That's the stroller we use when visiting my mom and I'd love to be able to add a second seat once we have #2.

I have the UBV as my single now and am in heaven with it. I'm bummed to read that people don't like the second seat. I hope some other ladies chime in.

@matador84: check out justkidsstore.com, they have sales on britax right now (and UBV, I think) it's where I bought mine with the second seat for $439 and they have more colors than amazon (but if you don't mind black or red, they are doing a buy a b-ready, get a second seat or car seat free right now)

Well, I guess all I can say then is this: Amazon will let you return the B Ready if you hate it. But you won't. I LOVE mine. HLK208 can confirm my obsession with this stroller.

@septca: Nowhere even close...the closest is 4-5 hours away. I checked all the pp's on ubv and am just obsessing over reviews and such...it is a huge purchase if I decide to go that way.

on another note, I think amazon is doing the free ride event right now, so that might make the b-ready worth it!

I have a bugaboo cameleon (I know that is not what you asked)- just wanted to say how much I love it. It has been great because I am super tall and I love the shocks and the bassinet and all of the possibilities and combinations.

I love my ubv as a single, for all the reasons people listed. I don't plan on my Los being super close in age, so I'm hoping I can make do with using it as an occasional double.

Isis Parenting was having a deal on Britax where I think you get the seat free. I would check their website!

Is there a place near you where you can test drive the UBV as a double? I was also looking for a stroller that I could convert to the double and I decided on the B Ready (check out HLK208's thread on the B-Ready for my comparisons). I loved the UBV as a single, but the second seat is just an afterthought. Both the B Ready and the City Select are MUCH more workable as a double in my opinion. (We did not go with the CS because it seemed huge with two seats.)

Bummer! I wish I had done better research on strollers with number 1 since the jogger I have was about 300. I was really having high hopes for it as a double. I guess to price compare the Britax, it's 500 at BBB, with the second seat at 149. I'd probably get the carseat adapter for the chicco which is 50...and that's about the same price as the UBV. Still can't decide what I'll spring for, but it seems like the Britax is the better double. I'll have to test drive at BBB this week when I'm in the big city.

Loved UBV as a single! Tolerated it with the rumble seat for about 6 months. Didn't hate it, but so hard to maneuver. Terrible sun shade and my older LO looked so uncomfortable if he feel asleep. Recently got a bumble indie twin and it's so amazing. Fits through standard doors, SO easy to push and maneuver, easily fits the infant car seat, such nice sun shades and recline and it's a surprisingly decent jogging stroller. I love it so much!!

We have the UBV and we live in the suburbs...currently I only have one LO and so far I love it. I have heard some negative things about it from others in HB that have used it as their double stroller so that has me a little worried about it's future use.

I use mine for longer outings such as going to the zoo, park, long shopping outings, walks, etc. it is super easy to push and the turning radius is the best...all my mom friends comment on how easily it can turn a corner...like they make room for me to turn around at the zoo/aquarium bc it's crowded and I can just swing it around. It has a huge carrying basket that I can throw so much stuff in but I think you lose a lot of that when you use it as a double.

I have the piggy back skateboard attachment bc I want to get my LO used to it...it's easy to put on and take off. It's kind of hard to walk with it on bc I always feel like I'm going to kick it as I walk but I rarely do actually hit it with my foot...I think it's just something I need to get used to.

It has a large sun shade which I used a lot when my LO was younger. Instead of Velcro it uses magnetic snaps so you can peek in and take a look at your LO through the cover if they fall asleep without making a lot of noise.

I don't have the rumble seat yet but I think people say it's impractical for napping and older LOs do not like being in the flimsier seat below the baby. I have no idea if this is the case bc my kids will be at least 3 years apart so I don't think I'll need it much for my older LO...just a place for her to sit and have a snack or rest for a bit on long outings

Honestly, if you're in the city and using the stroller a ton it's super worth it. That was our situation and we loved the smooth ride. However, once we moved to the suburbs we tended to keep it in the garage for neighborhood jaunts since it's a bit heavy, large and kind of a pain to fold down. Our LO is 18 months and we have used the UppaBaby G-Luxe as our "store in the trunk" go-to when we're out and about.

I 100% agree with all of the loves that @hilsy85 listed. The ride is soooo smooth and that is what ultimately convinced my husband that it was the best stroller for us to purchase!

I've also heard not-so-great things about the uppababy double options (or lack thereof). I know there have been lots of blog posts on hellobee about doubles options.

I looked at the UBV thoroughly as a double, test drove it, read tons of reviews, etc. I was sure we would get it as soon as I got pregnant with #3. I love how smooth it is BUT the second seat is flimsy.

We went with the britax b-ready with the second seat (I just got it a few days ago) but so far I really like it as a double. It's very similar to the UBV but with more configurations. I suggest trying both out in a store if you can with the second seats! I looked at the city select as well but it's SO long and uncomfortable to push.

I agree with @hilsy85: that I LOVE my UB Vista but I don't think it would be the ideal double for two close together. If I were going to have two really close I would have gone for the City Select. It's a pain to fold and pretty heavy, but the options for two seats are much better.

Things I love: huge storage basket, pushes super smooth, easy to change seat position, can face seat toward me or away, comes with bassinet, huge sunshade, tall handlebar, seat is high off the ground
