I haven't but I know two people who did, both multiple times. They both had the strollers damaged on one leg of their flights. UB was really great about getting then replacement parts (even without the bag! But we are local to the factory). But it sucked a lot to be at their destination or in the airport with a stroller that was broken.

I used the snap and go when traveling so I wouldn't have to worry about it, plus it was so much smaller to get through the airport, but we weren't walking muchat our destination.

We got the travel bag and have travelled on 6 flights now. You have to fold down the stroller and take the wheels off to get it in the bag - nothing worse than you have to do getting through security. Practice at home first.

Our UBV was damaged, and UB was great about replacing the damaged piece. Just make sure both the stroller and bag are registered prior to travel.

@Colee: Oh yeah. I disassembled it on the side, while DH held baby in the line to pre-board. Only took me a few minutes.

@shopaholic: Really?!? I though I read that the stroller has to be disassembled to fit in the bag? Is it easy to do?

@Colee: I've gate checked our UBV with the UBV Travel Bag, no problems! Bonus, you could stuff some extra things in the bag too!

We are flying with our 4 month old for the first time next week. Tickets were cheap so we bought her her own seat. We plan on carrying her on the plane in her infant car seat so that we can use it in our rental car when we arrive at our destination.

I was planning on using the UBV in the airport (since we can use it with our car seat) and then gate checking it. But after reading some posts online, I'm nervous it will be damaged! I love my UBV and would be upset if it were broken! I could buy a travel bag for it, but then I would need to check it and wouldn't be able to use it in the airport.

UBV users, have you gate checked your UBV? Was it damaged in any way?
