It is very chalky tasting! Yuck! I know our hospital will be using a natural strawberry flavored barium. He refuses to eat anything strawberry! He didn't like it at first so I had to distract him with toys. But eventually he drank it. I heard it tastes sweet and chalky. I know the test itself is really non-invasive (I have had a few in the past), but I think it is going to be a huge deal for LO! I am almost 100% positive he will NOT drink the barium! He only drinks breastmilk and splash and refuses everything else we have ever offered, including water, so I am really nervous about that. I also think we are going to have a hard time getting him to stand in all the different positions for the test. Wish us luck on that!</p> <p>If your LO had an upper GI, did s/he drink the barium and if not what did the technician do? Thanks! </p>
