I had #3's all the time when I was preggo only because I have a very irritable stomach as it is. But I always knew in my gut (no pun intended) that I was okay. I think if one was really sick then one would kind of know it. Keep drinking fluids and call your doc if it doesn't go away in a reasonable amount of time.

If you are having a problem keeping hydrated, go in. And if it's the really watery type, I'd see about going in once you hit 48 hours.

I can personally attest to the fact that the stomach bug is going around. I'm guessing listeria is really uncommon since I went to the ER last night with the the stomach flu and they never even suggested listeria. If I were you I would wait to call the doctor until you have been sick for at least 48 hours (or if you are showing signs of dehydration). Imodium is fine during pregnancy so try that to control your symptoms until the bug is out of your system.

Sooo this is going to be one of those annoying paranoid questions. I'm eye rolling at myself right now, but my stomach has been upset for a day and a half (TMI, sorry - diarrhea) and I've been freaking myself out thinking I contracted listeria because I have in fact eaten a few sandwiches during this pregnancy. I've seen some other ladies say they had stomach bugs...how do you know the difference and how do I stop scaring myself to death? How do I know when to go to the doctor?
