@BlueWolverine: thank you!! I've read the good and the bad of Google reviews for it but have heard more positive in real life than negative. I'm looking forward to not bleeding anymore. At least not like I have been.

I had this done in January for the very same reason. I've been perfectly happy with the procedure. I was under general anesthesia in my doctor's office - they have a procedure room and a travelling anesthesiologist. Afterward, there was some painful cramping, but the pain meds took care of it as soon as I got home. I took the rest of the day off and then went to a 3 hour class that night and had no issues.

Since then, I've had a few incidences of bleeding, but nothing more than a pantyliner was needed. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

@Crisark: My mom had this done for the same reasons but ultimately had to have a hysterectomy. Her case was atypical.

@Crisark: My mom did it too, and she’s been very happy with it. No problems afterwards as far as I know.

@Crisark: No personal experience but my mom had this done a few years ago and has been very happy. She was suffering with very long and heavy periods and since having the procedure has had minimal bleeding and cramping.

So it's been a long time time since I've posted.....I mean a LONG time.....but I've been lurking the whole time.
I've had all my babies and had my fallopian tubes removed in August of 2016. I've suffered with unbelievable periods since then. Super heavy, painful, exhausting and just awful.
Fast forward to January where I ask my primary doctor to prescribe birth control to try to control it. That didn't work at all. And if anything made it worse. I've been bleeding in some variation for two straight months. Seriously two straight months. Heavy to light to spotting to completely random to break through just on and on.
Soooo I said enough. I went to a new Gynocologist and she immediately ordered an intrauterine ultrasound to make sure I didn't have any underlying cause of the bleeding ( which I didn't) and then scheduled the Uterine Ablation.
I'm high risk for the procedure being done in the office so I have to have it done in the OR at the hospital with general anesthesia.
My long winded question is, who has had this done? Experiences? How was recovery? How long until you had sex again? What ever info you have to offer is appreciated. Thanks!!!
