The surgery went well, I was in there for just under an hour, they kept me in for an extra 2 hours until they felt I was okay to go home. </p> <p>I had a major freakout about the IV but the anaesthesiologist did it for me and was great. It did hurt a bit, and something they injected into it hurt like a bitch, then I was out.</p> <p>They did the septum removal and a D&amp;C, woke up about 6 minutes after they took me to recovery 1, did my vitals and then took me to recovery 2 to see my mom. It sounds like the surgeon was happy and I go to see her in a week to remove the balloon.</p> <p>No weird cramping - a sore hand from the IV and sore throat as they had to put a tube down while I was out (which freaked me out when they told me they'd have to do it in prep), but no abdominal or pelvic pain at all.</p> <p>IT'S OVER!! I was not on my period when I had a hysteroscopy in a year and a half ago so I can't speak to that but I will share my happy ending. Dr at the time thought I "just" had a polyp but it turns out I had a septum, which was successfully removed. It was likely the cause of my two previous mcs, as I am now almost 36 weeks pregnant. I had a uterine septum removed last year and now I'm pregnant! The surgery wasn't too bad, but I was very crampy that day and the next day. Use a heating pad and take ibuprofen.
