I had a UTI at around 12 weeks, and I didn't notice any of the symptoms. I was given antibiotics, and it was no big deal.

@MsInformation what antibiotics did they put you on? I just got the same call yesterday, but my DH is a Dr and he looked at my levels and it doesnt look like I really have a UTI...my mother in law is also a dr so I went in her office to get a urine test to detect the UTI but nothing came up. I am hesitant to take the antibiotics if I really dont have one...??? my ob seems annoyed with me...

I didn't have either one. I used to get UTIs when I was younger but haven't gotten one in ages. Thank goodness!!! UTIs are HORRIBLE!

Not yet, so hopefully no! I had a UTI right before we got pregnant, I guess all that practicing helped cause it. It was awful, the tech who did my U/A couldn't beleive how high my numbers were! Thankful the antibiotics got it taken care of, never want to feel that pain again!

I've never had a YI but UTI's are pretty common for me. The problem is that my only symptom when I get them is the constant need to pee, I don't get any pain. So since I have to pee all the time anyway now that I'm pregnant I'm a little concerned that if I do get a UTI I won't know it until it's quite advanced. So I've just made sure the nurse checks my urine at every appointment and so far so good.

My doctor called yesterday to say my urine sample (collected at my first appointment last week) had some bacteria in it, so she put me on antibiotics. She said it can be common to have a mild UTI during pregnancy and not even know it - which was totally the case with me because I haven't noticed any symptoms! I feel fortunate in that regard, but it also feels strange to be taking antibiotics when I feel fine. How do I know if I'm better or not?!

I was "lucky" and got both. First the UTI, treated with antibiotics. Which then caused a YI to raise it's ugly head. So I moved from antibiotics to monistat. It was a fun 2 weeks in our house!

I got a Yeast infection in my second trimester. The OB told me to apply the cream on the outside only so it took a little longer for it to go away!

The dr warned me that these are pretty common in pregnancy.

I had a UTI during college and I will never forget the pain. I've been lucky so far and hope that I can get by not having either a UTI or YI. (knock on wood)

But I was curious, how common it was...
