I just got the same call yesterday, but my DH is a Dr and he looked at my levels and it doesnt look like I really have a UTI...my mother in law is also a dr so I went in her office to get a urine test to detect the UTI but nothing came up. I had a UTI right before we got pregnant, I guess all that practicing helped cause it. It was awful, the tech who did my U/A couldn't beleive how high my numbers were! The problem is that my only symptom when I get them is the constant need to pee, I don't get any pain. So since I have to pee all the time anyway now that I'm pregnant I'm a little concerned that if I do get a UTI I won't know it until it's quite advanced. She said it can be common to have a mild UTI during pregnancy and not even know it - which was totally the case with me because I haven't noticed any symptoms! I feel fortunate in that regard, but it also feels strange to be taking antibiotics when I feel fine. First the UTI, treated with antibiotics. Which then caused a YI to raise it's ugly head. So I moved from antibiotics to monistat.
