I hated being on antibiotics so I seeked out natural methods of eradicating my UTI's. I started seeing a homeopathic consultant who recommend the homeopathic remedy staphysagria - once I dosed that for a couple days - I NEVER had another UTI! It was amazing.

I also drank plain, unsweetened cranberry juice. It's very tart though. I think that even being diabetic, you could have plan cranberry juice because it has no sugar?? I bought it in the natural foods section of the grocery store.

I started the 3 day treatment for the yeast infection yesterday and if I am still feeling UTI-ish symptoms on Monday, I'll call my doctor. It looks like I have to go in next week to pick up another prescription anyway.
Thanks ladies.

An untreated yeast infection can have symptoms that are common in UTIs such as urinary frequency and dysuria (pain upon urination). I know it must be a pain going to the doctor's so much, but the more you put it off, the worse it could get. An untreated UTI can lead to pyelonephritis (bladder infection) too, so please try to get everything checked out soon. Take care.

Any of you bees deal with UTI's while pregnant? I've delayed treating a yeast infection for about a week and tonight when I went to the bathroom it felt like a UTI. UGH!!!!

It feels like I have been to the hospital every week since I've gotten pregnant (15 weeks) to either go to an appointment, do lab work, or pick up a prescription, plus they call me every week to go over blood sugars (diabetic), so I don't really want to call/go in. Any suggestions? (I can't drink juice due to being diabetic). This is the first day it's been uncomfortable to go to the bathroom. :(
